VACANCY
Outreach Worker
Jubilee Tower Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial co-operative providing a local community-based savings & low cost loans service. We operate from a Darwen town centre office with additional bases in children’s centres, community centres and eight primary & high schools across Blackburn with Darwen.
An opportunity has arisen for an innovative person to join our enthusiastic, hardworking team to help support & deliver our services across the borough in a very varied role encompassing cash handling, day-to-day administration, promotion of the service and liaising with partner agencies.
The post holder will have to:-
Successfully communicate the credit union ethos to children, adults and partner agencies’ employees.
Staff JTCU’s group of community collection points and collect & accurately record cash deposits by credit union members.
Carry out day-to-day administration associated with the delivery of outreach worker.
Promote JTCU within various community-based locations.
Support volunteer collectors.
Contribute to children’s centres management groups & forums and contribute towards outcomes as defined by the Every Child Matters framework.
Produce written and detailed reports to set deadlines.
Contract: Initially until end of October 2010
Hours: 35 per week (flexible working)
Salary: £17,161 NJC Pay Scale Spinal Point 18
