approach to financial inclusion
The course will provide
a working understanding of:
  • Financial exclusion

  • Partnership approaches

  • Building a local coalition

  • Recent policy framework

  • Examples of best practice

  • Gaps in service delivery

  • Identifying and managing risk

A two day Induction course that will
  • provide an understanding of
    • operating and referral procedures
    • how to design and deliver new services and products that are relevant to people who are more financially excluded.
  • help participants from different sectors explore where they can co-operate on joint ventures.

It aims to act as
  • a 'crash course' in partnership approaches to financial inclusion

  • an introduction and progression on to
    • further training units on the main programme
    • participation in peer-learning Teams.
Beneficiaries will include:
  • Credit Union & CDFI workers and volunteers

  • Third Sector Organisations such as
    • Housing Associations
    • Money Advice Agencies
    • Enterprise Agencies
